Effector Cell Institute, Inc. had previously been dispersed among several facilities including laboratories on the University of Tokyo campus as well as other facilities. These labs have been conglomerated into the Central Laboratory in Aobadai, Meguro-ku.
In the Central Lab, researchers and technicians in widely-ranging fields from basic medical science, immunology, biochemistry, molecular biology and computer and information sciences have been joined together. By proactively combining their varied knowledge and forming alliances with industry-relations and other companies, we aim to develop unique and innovative technologies.
The Central Lab is comprised of multiple project teams. By use of ECI’s core technology TAXIScanTM and its applied technologies such as the fluorescent TAXIScanTM and fluorescent confocal microscope TAXIScanTM, there will be an emphasis on the establishment of differentiation technology. Also, research regarding regenerative medicine will continue. Our efforts will work toward a constant goal of developing and producing innovative and high-quality products which fit the needs of the ever-changing market.
In the Aobadai Lab, which neighbors the Central Lab, research regarding the utilization and further improvement of the high-efficiency screening device Automatic TAXIScanTM System will continue with the goal of entering joint research with pharmaceutical companies on a global scale.
The pre-existing Aobadai Lab and Central Lab will join efforts to achieve a unified goal of the maturation of the company through production of a new enterprise.
